[:en]Constantly rising consumption of active customers & electric vehicles and unpredictable electricity production, especially from renewable sources, has an increasing impact on the electric power system stability.

The high unpredictability of the consumption and production of electricity have been influenced by the accelerated digitization and electrification as a result of the active reduction of carbon footprint in all areas.

For the stable operation of the power grid, continuous carbon footprint reduction and optimal system balancing on the energy market, we require a solution that enables the active inclusion of all types energy sources with easy connectivity between energy loads and distributed energy resources.

One of the most reliable solutions at today’s energy market is GemaLogic Flexibility solutions for Virtual Power Plants and Demand Response in industry and households/residential buildings.

GemaLogic helps to control the Distributed Energy Resources and flexible loads that can adapt their energy production or energy consumption. Among the most distributed energy resources in the most general sense, we can classify these as a renewable energy source, energy providers, energy consumers, active end-users (households, industry or business customers) which can reduce or increase their energy consumption at a given moment.

Combining the latest use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to support the power system, microgrid, smart industries or smart buildings, GemaLogic provides:

Virtual power plants

The scope of the GemaLogic Flexibility for the Virtual Power Plant solution (VPP) is designed to provide system services, such as providing support for the Frequency Restoration Reserve (FRR) to the Transmission System Operator using the Demand-Response sources and Distributed Energy Resources. All sources are connecting to the GemaLogic Flexibility software solution through the communication devices and different protocols, where aggregation, control, optimization, management, forecasting, activation of all or individual sources are carried out. The GemaLogic Flexibility solution is thus intended for future aggregators or electricity suppliers.

Demand Response and flexible energy management in industry

For the needs of flexible energy management, in the framework of the pilot demonstration projects so-called “DEUP” in steel industry and the pilot demonstration projects in the glass industry we expanded the GemaLogic Flexibility tool with the functionality of Demand Response and flexible energy management in industry (Glass – Steklarna Hrastnik and Steel – SIJ). The GemaLogic Flexibility for Demand Response allows local aggregation of flexible loads, integration between local energy management systems and aggregation platforms, production forecasts, optimization of management, peak shaving, load shifting, optimization and support for the purchase of electricity at the level of the industry.

Demand Response and flexible energy management in residential buildings/households

In the context of Slovenian-Japanese cooperation in the field of smart grids, of the NEDO project, we have developed a Demand Response Control System (DRCS) management tool for the distribution network operator for the needs of reducing critical peak tariff (CPT) and for the transmission system operator for the needs of system balancing (SB) as support for the electric power system .

 [:sl]Nepredvidljivost odjema aktivnih odjemalcev, električnih vozil in proizvodnje električne energije, predvsem iz obnovljivih virov, v vedno večji meri vpliva na stabilnost delovanja EES. Na veliko nepredvidljivost odjema in proizvodnje električne energije vpliva pospeÅ¡en čas digitalizacije in elektrifikacije, ki je posledica aktivnega zniževanja ogljičnega odtisa na vseh področjih. Orodje GemaLogic za potrebe upravljanja z energijo omogoča aktivno vključevanje vseh tipov razprÅ¡enih virov in tako pripomore k zanesljivejÅ¡emu delovanju EES, zniževanju ogljičnega odtisa, kot tudi optimalni izravnavi bilančnih skupin na energetskem trgu.

V prispevku predstavljamo inovativne rešitve GemaLogic za upravljanje razpršenih elektroenergetskih virov (angl.: Distributed Energy Resources), ki lahko prilagajajo svoj odjem ali oddajo električne energije v elektroenergetsko omrežje. Med razpršene vire v najbolj splošnem pomenu spadajo vsi uporabniki elektroenergetskega omrežja, od gospodinjstev, industrije, poslovnih uporabnikov do obnovljivih proizvodnih virov in hranilnikov električne energije. Ti v elektroenergetsko omrežje dovajajo ali iz njega odjemajo električno energijo. Rešitve GemaLogic združujejo uporabo tehnologij za agregacijo, napovedovanje in optimizacijo upravljanja razpršenih elektroenergetskih virov.

Naše inovativne rešitve GemaLogic omogočajo naslednje tri glavna področja uporabe:

Produkt GemaLogic VPP (virtualna elektrarna) je namenjen zagotavljanju sistemskih storitev, kot so na primer storitev sistemske rezerve terciarne regulacije sistemskemu operaterju prenosnega sistema z uporabo upravljanja odjema (angl.: »Demand-Response«)  in upravljanjem razpršene proizvodnje električne energije. Razpršene vire preko komunikacijskih naprav vključujemo v GemaLogic VPP, kjer se izvajajo agregacija, optimizacija upravljanja, napovedovanje odjema, aktivacija vseh ter posameznih razpršenih virov. Produkt GemaLogic VPP je tako namenjen agregatorjem in dobaviteljem električne energije.

Fleksibilno upravljanje z energijo v industriji (steklarska – Steklarna Hrastnik in jeklarska – SIJ).

Za potrebe fleksibilnega upravljanja z energijo smo v okviru pilotno demonstracijskih projektov DEUP in OPER.H2. Orodje GemaLogic za fleksibilno upravljanje z energijo omogoča lokalno agregacijo razpršenih virov, integracijo med lokalnimi sistemi za upravljanje z energijo in agregatorskimi platformami, izdelavo napovedi odjema, optimizacijo upravljanja, optimizacijo in podporo pri nakupu električne energije na nivoju končnih industrijskih uporabnikov omrežja.

Upravljanje odjema gospodinjskih odjemalcev – DRCS (Demand Response Control System)

V okviru slovensko-japonskega sodelovanja na področju pametnih omrežij, t. i. projekta NEDO, smo razvili orodje za upravljanje odjema gospodinjskih odjemalcev – DRCS (Demand Response Control System), namenjen operaterju distribucijskega omrežja za potrebe zniževanja kritičnih koničnih obremenitev (KKT), in sistemskemu operaterju prenosnega sistema za izravnavo sistema (IS), kot podpora elektroenergetskemu sistemu.
