    BREWERY: A STRATEGIC RESPONSE TO ENERGY CHALLENGES

    Faced with a dramatic increase in energy prices in 2009, the brewery did not seek short-term savings alone—it pursued a sustainable transformation. This is the story of how the implementation of an advanced energy management system became a key competitive advantage.

    The Energy Shock

    A sudden rise in energy prices threatened market competitiveness and created an urgent need for a systematic solution.

    Searching for a Solution

    The selection process lasted one year. The GemaLogic solution by Solvera Lynx was chosen due to its comprehensive, integrated approach.

    Pre-Investment Study

    Instead of a full-scale energy audit, a feasibility study was conducted to monitor electricity, gas, steam, water, and CO₂ emissions.

    PILOT PROJECT: A RISK THAT PAID OFF

    An investment of 250,000 EUR understandably raised concerns about financial feasibility. To mitigate risk, management decided to first test the system on a single segment—compressed air.

    Results Beyond Expectations

    Solvera Lynx projected a 10% reduction. Through active monitoring and optimization of compressor station operations, the brewery achieved savings exceeding 10%, providing the green light for full-scale system implementation.

    MEASURABLE RESULTS

    System installation marked not the end, but the beginning of a continuous improvement process. By appointing an internal energy manager and using the GemaLogic software for daily monitoring, the company achieved outstanding consumption reductions in a remarkably short time.
