Electric vehicle charging stations boost employee satisfaction

The electric vehicle (EV) market is booming. In 2021, EVs recorded their highest annual growth since 2012, making up 8.3% of the global car market.

Today, one in ten cars sold in Europe is electric. By 2030, it is estimated that there will be up to 240 million EVs on the road worldwide. EVs play a key role in decarbonizing the transport sector, which is responsible for 12% of all greenhouse gas emissions in Europe.

Companies that purchase EVs for business use can benefit from a full VAT deduction on the purchase of 100% electric vehicles, applicable to both service and spare parts. In addition, electric company cars are subject to a significantly lower benefit-in-kind tax rate—just 0.3%, compared to 1.5% for petrol and diesel vehicles.
